Signed up. Full knobbies for the trail ride or the Continentals on the Exc good enough?
Depends on your riding skill level. Knobbies would be easier....especially on the steeper hills.
Depends on route you plan to ride (mainly single track, or dual sport route), and how comfortable you are with the continentals in sand or if the rain keeps up a bit of mud
Personally I would throw on the knobbies if the option were available, but if the option wasn't available would rock what ever you have..
As Brad noted, sporting the knobbies would let you run the single track route more easily for part or all of the ride. The Conti's would likely be just fine for the DS route, which is all 2-track.
Sounds good. Excuse for new tires!! Thanks for the replys.
Yes I Understand that. I don't remember what my point was regarding the membership.
Anyone besides me planning to ride the dual sport option?
I was planning on doing the Dual-Sport ride.
I'm riding the dual sport option.
Thanks to the organizers and riders for a great day. Look forward to more rides.
An excellent day - thanks to all those involved in organizing, and special thanks to the fellow Dual Sport/Big Bike route riders. You helped me on more than on occasion dragging through the mud. Hope everyone got home ok.
Here's my video of the 2017 Midhurst Trail Ride.
Mezerr what a great video.. I like the fact you maintained a commentary all the way through - and that you were so nice to the fallen riders!
Especially the one on the first corner of the event!
Great ride. I was completely whipped at the end of the day.
Anyone know who the camera guy was on the Trail? Had purple gear. I would like to see some of his pictures.
Go to the SCORRA site and post up for purple beast, some years he puts the pics on a website.
Thanks. I was able to get ahold of him and get some pictures.
