they go in that little basket in the front there. You load them to the width of the trailer , not the length like on a regular trailer. I've seen some of these with an ATV loaded there - so my guess is you can fit 2 bikes there.
doesn't appear to be any wheel chocks or tie down points that are visible at least. I'd like to see how bikes are loaded as well.
Sorry for the slow response. Anyhoo, the bikes fit sideways to the tow vehicle and there is four corner tie down connections. I have only had a crf100, a jr50, bicycles and a beer fridge in there at one time but I think it would fit 2 dualsports nicely. The railing quick releases and hinges down to provide a flat bed. Worked great with an SUV tow vehicle. Sorry no pics but an atv does fit in some photos on the web.
Bump for a great toy hauler for Dual Sporting... we haul a trailer similar to this (without a/c, washroom and cargo bay) and LOVE IT. If it had a cargo bay EVEN BETTER!! You really _can_ tow these things anywhere, and if I didn't already have one would be on this is an instant! Great camper, someone snag it quick!
I guess for me the issue is a regular popup the same size is around 7K. So, the 2-3k for the hauling capacity is tough to stomach. Plus, this unit is a few years old. Don't get me wrong...I love the unit, but just can't justify the cash. Good luck with the sale though.
I'm sure the additional $$$ also covers the "off-road worthiness" of this type of camper. Bigger tires, better suspension, diamond-plating, etc. We shopped around a LOT for our camper, and I can say with 100 percent honesty that this camper is reasonably priced (I don't know the seller from Adam). Tell me - would a "regular 7k popup" be able to tackle this type of terrain? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p54Q7qiFBes OK, maybe dragging a trailer through a mud-put isn't the best example, but angle of approach, breakover, and departure can't be ignored and is SIGNIFICANTLY better on a trailer such as the one posted. If all you're looking for is a toy hauler, that's one thing - but these type of trailers are built for remote "off-the-beaten-path" type camping, and if you've ever tried to haul a "normal" trailer on a trail you know exactly why you need one with more clearance. For those who do any sort of remote camping and enjoy hauling your dirtbike(s) - this would be PERFECT!!
I have one of these, they are excellent. Exta $ is worth it so i can take the bikes without having a camper and a truck. I pull mine with a jeep. Easier to deal with when i am not pulling the trailer. A truck can be a pita and takes up work space in the garage.
