New for 2015 Rally Connex will be hosting two Spring Training classes in one weekend. On Saturday May 9th will be a smaller enduro bike style aggressive tire training classes and on Sunday May 10th will be the big adventure bike classes covering all types of on and off road techniques. for more information please go to http://www.rallyconnex.com/springtraining.html Feel free to ask any questions on this forum and we will do our best to answer them.
Does a Kenda 270 count as "aggressive"? It's mounted on a DR200SE, if that makes much difference. Thanks!
It's a semi aggressive tire. Leans more towards a gravel road and light duty off road tire. If Kenda is your choice of tire, there DOT Track Master tire would be considered a more aggressive off road tire.
Will it get me through the event? I just bought the bike, it has nearly-new 270's on it so I'm not in favour of swapping them out before the nibs are worn off.
First off, I apologize for taking so long to get back to you. Yes the Kenda 270 will get you through the event. If the day is dry that tire will hold up well. Some of the exercises you will be working on will need maximum traction. A team of instructors will be on hand to help any bikes or riders through area's that may cause traction loss. Here is a video link from past training days that should give you a concept of what the terrain will look like.
ATTENTION! Spring Training Update. The start location for the May 9 & 10 2015 dates will be at Rolling Acres restaurant. 2941 Taunton Road Clarington, ON L0B 3J0 https://www.google.ca/maps/place/29...2!3m1!1s0x89d507e7f684580f:0x2341670b953e7bc1
