Thanks for the welcome messages everyone. I am glad to be back. Hope to ride with all you soon - maybe a ride where we stay at least 2m away from each other ;-)

How long will it take before the Africa Twin ends up resting up a tree? Yes, bikes can be found up in the tree canopy

When creaking bones are mentioned.. The aged becomes uncomfortable. Everyone that rides with me should blatantly ignore the above quoted. Especially Bruce, Cole, Henry and Michel but to name a few. It is commonly accepted that those amongst us who ride big dogs do so to irritate our ride partners.

Everyone has such spectacularly clean pictures of their bikes, I couldn't resist posting one from a mishap with a large and deep puddle. Puddle won. 4x4 Gator with winch required to get out. Took longer to clean the bike than we were riding. o_O

New to Adventure riding and technically new to two wheels. Looking for fellow riders in or near SW Ontario.

Picture taken before crash bars, skid plate, extra lighting and I had any sense at all about mud!! Lessons starting next week at Gopher Dunes. :):)

I'm a new member this year, (67 yrs. old), prompted by the purchase of this '18 DRZ with only 280 Km. on it. A year later it has 4,000 km on it. Most of the mileage is on dirt roads in the north Durham and Lindsay areas. I have been to the Ganaraska Forest half a dozen times, most recently this past Friday, perhaps the nicest day left this season. So far I haven't gotten myself into any trouble that I couldn't get out of. I find some of those steep single track downhills with ruts a challenge!
I have had to lower the front and rear suspension a bit, and change the tires; otherwise it's stock.
I got back into riding with a '14 BMW F700GS that I bought new as a retirement gift to myself. I have used it for frequent shorter trips to my home area of Kirkland Lake, New Liskeard and longer rides to northern Quebec via the James Bay Rd..
I am looking forward to traveling over the Labrador Road to Nfld. next year if allowed. The big decision will be which bike to take??
