The signs for these camera are popping up in a lot of places lately (your tax dollars at work). Anyone ever get a ticket from one of these things?
Most of them are smashed and the lens spray painted within a few days of their appearance, followed by endless dollars spent to repair them. Then eventually they disappear. (At least the rural ones)
I'm reasonably careful when it comes to speeding. As in nothing in school zones or small residential streets. A bit on regular roads, a bit more on highways, and a bit more again on 400 series highways. Not enough to stand out from other traffic.
My Girlfriend got hit two days in a row, got the tickets a week later. I believe it was 52 in a 40 but a school zone so it ended up being two $95 tickets. She tried to argue that she was not aware she got a ticket, didn't get her very far. Expensive lesson. Wonder if they have any special vision that lets them read a mud covered plate??
