eariler this year when the Orangeville to Creemore ride was planned and posted here, there were a number of files made available for download including the GPX files, a single page word document to prepare people for the ride and one more document that helped Garmin users set up their devices for specific functions and settings to be used with the route files. Once of those settings was the "data dashboard" which indicated "distance to next waypoint". I setup my Montana as per the instructions and love that setting however one day while riding, the dashboard disappeared and I no longer have that data displayed (which I really miss). Can someone please repost that settings document or point me I. The direction. Of where I can download it?

    Thanks in advance

Is this the document you mean?

(I won't be able to reply for a while as I'm in the Departure Area in Tucson airport, on my way back to Toronto).

That document has some of the information but the one that was shared with everyone prior to the ride had specific instructions on setting the Montana to display that type of information. I'm a Luddite, I know..

The only other document that was included in the download prior to the event was this document from Brian Helliwell (attached), and it has no mention of GPS settings.

I was co-organizer of the event and I'm not aware of any other document. Was this perhaps something you saw in a different post and downloaded? I do recall a post by someone that said he'd found a website that had a suggested setup for a Montana(?) and it seemed to work good. I tried searching our Forums but can't find it.

Anyway, a backup plan for you would be to RTFM ;)

Yes, I must be confusing it with something else in my foggy memory but nonetheless, I finally (accidentally) solved the issue with my Garmin and was able to enable the functionality I was looking to get back.

    Thank you
