I took the bike down to Colorado this past September and got in 12 days of riding. Captured some of the highlights in the video below. It's pretty well the standard dual sport stuff which everyone does when they ride there. Mike
Thanks for posting. While it is the standard dualsport stuff out there and you can find lots of it on the web. I never get tired of watching it. Spectacular !
Awesome! Thanks for that. It's been a while since I rode out there, but I think I recognize a few spots. When you put the bike down, I think that was going down into Telluride? I would like to go back out next summer July or August 2019, if anyone's interested send me a message.
Yes, that was the descent into Telluride from the Black Bear Pass. I have my GPS files from the 2 weeks if you want them. Mike
Thanks Mike, I appreciate that. I rode there with Bob and Roland way back in 2009, so I have Bob's (dualsport) gps tracks, they're really good. I need some riding buddies to come along, are you interested going back out?
Not likely this year, thanks for asking. Colorado is quite accessible to Ontario riders. Even if you only have a week off you should be able to get in 7 full days of riding (providing you leave Friday afterwork, drive in shifts and have a reliable tow vehicle).
I hope to go back to Colorado this summer, but this time it'll be on four wheels. The off-road riding is among the best in the USA, but then there's also incredible street-bike roads, mountain passes, scenic highways - like the roads I covered in my 2015/16 DR650 rides - that are also perfect for my Miata. Mike: there were a couple of your pictures I couldn't place. I'd be interested in looking at your tracklog if you wouldn't mind e-mailing it to me. Thanks Bob DR350SE MX-5
