2024 Orangeville to Creemore Ride (Bob Morphew Memorial Ride)

    Original Date - July 21/24

New Date : Sunday Aug 11/24

    Start Time - 10AM

    Riders Meeting 9:30

    MORE INFO

This year, in memory of Bob Morphew, we will be using the last Orangeville to Creemore GPS routes that Bob graciously prepared for us for the 2018 Orangeville to Creemore ride. This will include both a Dualsport Route and an ADV Route. There may also be an option of an Aggressive Ride but I will post more on this later.

Please download the gpx files and load them on your GPS prior to the ride.
I dont know how to load these routes on a phone but perhaps google can help you.

If your GPS unit gives you a message that there are too many waypoints (Test loading the Routes before you arrive), go into your settings and change your routing to Direct Routing.

The ADV Route was designed for Big Bikes, non aggressive tires and is a scenic route.

The ADV-AM route from Orangeville to Creemore is 172km.
The ADV-PM route from Creemore to Orangeville is 138km

The dual sport route was designed for smaller dual sport bikes with semi aggressive tires, less experienced riders, or larger bikes with aggressive tires and more experiences riders.
The ride consists of gravel and some unmaintained roads.

The Dual Sport AM Route to Creemore is 125km
The Dual Sport PM Route from Creemore back to Orangeville is 143km

    Gas:

The Dual Sport routes do not pass a gas station en route! Please arrive with a full tank.
In the morning, the route passes close to the Intersection of HWY 10 and 89 where there are gas stations. Also on the North end of the morning route we are very close to Singhampton.

Gas is available in Creemore at the XTR station as well as at Cashtown corners just East of Creemore on County Road 9

The afternoon route passes very close to Mansfield where there are two Gas stations

Starting point will be Mono Plaza, just North of Orangeville on highway 10

As usual we will be parking on the grass next to the highway at the South end of the parking lot. We will try to stay together and organized. I’ll be parked there in an old olive drab sprinter..

This is not a guided tour but a GPS route. Riders usually break into smaller groups to ride.

Offroad bias tires are encouraged. There are a couple areas people may want to bypass if they are on big bikes or riding street bias tires.

The lunch stop is in Creemore where there are a number of restaurants available on the Main Street. This is a fend for yourself lunch. You may choose to pack a lunch as Creemore can be very busy on the weekend. There is also Gowan Memorial Park at Edward and Library Street that has lots of parking for those who prefer to pack their lunch. This is also right on the start of the afternoon route.

    GPS FILES COMING SOON

Unfortunately I'll be away for most of August. I really wanted to do this ride, lots of memories riding that area with Bob.
Too bad, it'll be for next year, enjoy and safe riding.

I'm looking forward to it. Will a GPS route be posted?
