    I spent a few hours running from Hockley up to Terra Nova and beyond for the first time in at least 5 years. Lots of bridge work making it more difficult to connect the usual loops, me on the DR and my brother on his (my former) KLX. Saw a ton of bikes everywhere. For some reason my GPS didn't have any of my former tracks on it so I ran from vague memory and a paper map. I noticed a few barriers and gates up where they never were before....

    What a beauty day, did anybody else make it out?

    We (three of us) did the parallel routing east of Airport Road up to Creemore, through Glen Huron, to Blue Mountain, to the Osprey/Kolipoor Highlands, and back through the Beaver Valley. It was a superbe day. Enjoyed some new, some familiar, some unintended routes. I appreciate those workers who try to block a road with an excavator...just another degree of difficulty.

    Wow that sounds like a heck of a ride! How many kilometers roughly? We were just shy of 300 round trip and 5 hours on my stock DR seat is about all I could handle.

    I'm not sure on the total distance. I'm guessing a bit, we went through three tanks on the DRZ...but not completely. Maybe close to 400 km. I have a Seat Concepts on the 400...I can ride all day.

    (I'm not saying anymore about the excavator...it may have been a closed road).

    Rode through and around Terra Nova yesterday, put about 80kms of mostly gravel roads under foot. The fall colours will really be popping over the next week or two, maybe only 15% turned so far.

    Hey Yota-Tom, I'm currently putting together a route for that general area this weekend. Curious what road your second shot is on and where that third pic is? Also, awesome old DR, love those!

    @swdavis Thanks for the koodos!
    The second pic is on 4th line, between Mulmur-Nottawasaga Townline and County Rd 21, just east of Honeywood. In my opinion, running Southbound on that road has the much better sightlines as you look east. Also, continuing South on 4th line over CR21 continues some adventurous riding. Turn West onto 15 Sideroad for more fun riding and photo Ops.
    The third picture is on 1st line between County rd 21 and 30 Sideroad, also just east on Honeywood. Riding North or South makes little difference, good either direction. I was headed North for that shot.

    Looks like some amazing scenery, I haven't been that way for a few years. I'll bet you'd have a lot of interest in a casual dual sport ride in that area in the coming weeks. Sometimes it is nice to follow someone who knows the area.

    My Buddy and I ran Shelburne to Creemore Friday evening to eat at the Old Mill House Pub, food and service were excellent as always, the tour was even better.

    We rode East from Shelburne on 30th Sideroad across Hwy 10, turning North on 5th Line, till it ended at 10 sideroad, continued N on 4th line till it terminates on 3rd Line, took 3rd line into town as it becomes Caroline St. Was 47kms one-way, about 3km of pavement.
    Rode a different route home, leaving town on Caroline St but staying west of our original tour, going south on 1st line for the old bridge crossing, using River road to catch 20th sideroad, 2nd line to link 15th sideroad, south on centre to 5 sideroad, south again on townline to cross hwy 89. Think it was 49kms home.
    We could have spent another hour or two linking roads together, but we had a “home time” set by ours wives, wanted to be punctual for our first tour of the season.
