Hi All, Relatively new to the forum although I’ve found lots of great information here! I’m wondering if anyone is interested or is already planning a multi-day ride like the Ride Around the Park etc this summer? My regular riding buddies are tied up with work and travel but I don’t want to let the summer slip by without getting out for trip. I’m in Toronto but am happy to drive and meet wherever. I’m an intermediate rider on a blue plated KTM 450 and am cool with camping or hotels. Anyway, if you’ve got something planned and have room for one more in the group or if you are looking to plan something let me know. My time is fairly flexible until mid August, Mark
Hey Mark, any luck yet hooking up for a ride? I am considering a multi-day day ride based out of North Bay, perhaps ranging from Huntsville heading north to over top of Lake Wanapitei. I'm self employed so I should have flexible availability, more so during the week days. Not available July 20 wknd or Aug 10. I ride a WR250R and not a top notch rider but manage to hang on with those orange things at times. I have been on many of the routes but they can be affected by beavers, logging, overgrowth,storm fall, forest fires etc.. Found many cool camping spots as well but they too can be occupied. I'm OK with hotels, campgrounds, sleeping on a pile of rocks etc.. Bugs will probably be bad through most of July, deer flies during the day and mosquito's at night if camped in the bush. Hey Yawny, thanks for the reply! In the works of planning a trip with another member for July 11-14th so excited about that. Would love to plan another though as well - I've seen some of your youtube videos of riding and camping . . . that's totally what I'd be up for My time is also fairly flexible especially during the weekdays.
