Home made hitch carrier: the platform is 2 X 6.5' so I can carry 1 bike or general cargo like 2 extra large coolers, etc. The square tube seen from the rear is a hitch receiver tube so I can pull a small trailer behind the carrier. The whole carrier is stabilized by 2 outriggers that hook into the truck frame to keep it from wobbling around. The bottom is made of expanded steel mesh. 4 LED marker lights that act as parking/turn/brake lights.

It's a little heavy, but that's the price to pay to have something this versatile.

I was already to sign the paperwork on a Beta 480 last week myself until my better half reminded me she needed a new car in the spring. "Reminded" is a nice way of saying it! ....lots of screaming and name calling....So no new bike this year for me.

    Enjoy the new wheels!

I will be rolling the old DRZ's into the shop shortly for some winter maintenance and freshening up. Going to make one good bike out of the two I think. Only wish I could make it lighter! the Beta is close to 90 lbs lighter then the a DRZ.

It must be quite a site seeing that new Beta besides that beautiful unwashed KLR.
Good for you Michel. At least you will be able to keep up to me now.
