The previous thread was getting a little long in the tooth, Bob tells me. So, here we are starting a new one...to catch your attention. If you've been riding recently, come and tell us all about it. If you haven't, you're probably itching to share and hear stories. We meet at the Mohawk Inn, Campbellville, anytime after 6:30 typically, on the 3rd Wednesday (Thursday...wrong) of the Winter months. Activites include: GPSing, featuring Bob M., storytelling, ride planning, show revisiting, equipment swapping, etc. Oh, and they have Creemore. Bruce
Usually we don't ask for confirmation of attending, as there's always anywhere between 4 and 20 people show up. So far, there's 7 of the "regulars" have said they are going so there's no need to confirm. I'd just mention that this isn't a "clique-y" group. We get several new guys attending BUT we also get riders we don't know, who post they'll be there but don't show up. We never find out why, but we do encourage riders new-to-ODSC to come out and meet us - there's no, pressure, just sit and listen if you want - AND you don't need to be a paid-up Member to attend. Just like our Creemore Rides, we encourage everyone from total newbies to retired ex-racers (and Trials riders!). Hope to see a lot of new faces on Wednesday at 7pm (official start time but often there's folks there from 6:30, having dinner, until after 10pm). Bob
It's a bit of a hike especially that time of day but I'll try. Thanks - hope to see you fellas tomorrow
It was really good last night to meet so many guys we haven't seen for years! In the picture L-R: Poitr (returned from Poland after several years), Thomas, Roland (no longer MIA in Guatemala!), Clint, DualSport, Dave, Jeff, two (sorry, forgot your names) of Costas' riding buddies, Costas, Kevin, Bruce, Paul, and Olivo. First arrivals were at 6pm - last group left at 10:15. Thanks for organizing it, Bruce. Hope we can hold it again next month. Bob
Crap , I wish I had gone. Lots of umm, " experienced " guys I have not seen for a while. I will try to make the next one. Randy
Randy, I think there would be a lot of interest in hearing about your collection of restored vintage bikes. Would you be interested in giving an informal talk on how you've achieved it? Bob
I will be attending tomorrow night. Looking forward to meeting some new people, and talking about bikes!!
