ODSC Orangeville to Creemore Ride July 16th

Date : Saturday July 16th

Start Location : Mono Plaza, 633419 Hwy. 10, Mono, On. (Just North of Orangeville on Hwy 10)

Mono Plaza management has requested that we park bikes and trailers on the grass, close to the road. We will put out cones to indicate the parking area.

Riders Meeting: 9:10 AM
Start Time: 9:30 AM

Cost: Free to ODSC members
Non Members $10.00

The ride will consist of back roads and road allowances/trails heading North to Creemore and then returning back to Orangeville.


This year we will be running 1 route with aggressive options for those whose choose to tackle the tougher stuff. These options are best suited for sub 650cc blue plated offroad style motorcycles.

There will also be an afternoon option of single track in a section of simcoe county forest. For this option, you MUST be an OFTR member as the forest is under a land use agreement with the OFTR and SCORRA. For more information on membership you can visit www.oftr.ca

The planned lunch stop is Creemore. There are a number
of Restaurants available for you to choose from in Creemore.


The Route files are posted in the Tracks and Routes Forum. This is only accessible by ODSC Members as one optional section requires OFTR Membership to ride the SCF single-track.

There will be a computer at the Start for non-members to have the appropriate files transferred to their GPS. It is recommended that all GPS data be backed up and then removed from the GPS before having these routes, waypoints and tracks transferred.

It has been quite dry and there are very few mud holes although I did manage to find one and go down while trying to avoid it.

This looks like a good excuse to dust off the KTM and get out for a ride. Is this a GPS ride that will have a route posted for download ?

I'm going to start pre riding the aggressive route next week. Looking for a rider or two to help out. Mid week rides.

Pre-ride is this coming Tuesday?

That was an old post. We have done a few pre rides this week. I'm not sure what is happening next week. Bob has done a great job with the route and is doing final tweaks on it this weekend. I'm out of town Sun-Tuesday but should be riding it again when I get back.

No. There are many public road sections.
